Bag Posts

Bag Posts are simple enough. Once Bag Posts have opened up on the PoT_Board (meaning once I make a post asking for Bag Posts) simply comment with a list of contents in your character's bag. Remember, they think they're going to a tennis camp, not Battle Royale. Only bring things they would've used for a week long tennis camp. Be sure to also include what your character is wearing at the present time.

Example:

Equipped:
(x2) Tennis shoes
(x2) Tube socks
(x1) St. Rudolph school uniform (pants, belt, shirt, tie… you know the one da ne)
(x1) Tighty-whities
(x1) Extra rolled up sock (…da ne)
(x1) Sunglasses
(x1)Yakult Swallows baseball hat
(x1) Wallet (1500 yen)
(x1) Gold chain necklace
Backpack:
(x1) Tupperware (it has my pet frog Little Shinya and his fly-food da ne)
(x1) Mom’s magazine (Redbook da ne!? I thought it was from Dad’s dresser!)
(x1) Notebook
(x2) Pens
(x1) Cell phone (my sleek, sexy, lady-attracting flip phone with hands free capability da ne)
(x1) MP3 player
(x2) Laser pointers (with two to make little red nips on Yuuta da ne)
(x2) Tissue packs (I have allergies da ne…)
(x2) Small boxes of goldfish crackers
(x3) Cherry punch boxes
(x6) AA Batteries
First-Aid Kit:
(x1) Ace Bandages
(x1) Icy-hot pack (I’ll defeat the Dunk Smash this time da ne)
(x1) Dad’s medical book
Tennis Equipment:
(x1) Tennis racket (w/ cover)
(x1) Extra strings
Toiletries:
(x1) Comb
(x1) Toothpaste
(x0) Toothbrush (finger tooth brushing for me da ne)
(x1) Hotel brand soap
(x1) Hotel brand shampoo
(x1) Empty Deodorant (should’ve checked first da ne)
(x1) Shaving cream (never know when ladies will be around da ne)
Luggage:
(x4) Shorts
(x1) St. Rudolph team pants
(x7) St. Rudolph team shirts
(x1) St. Rudolph team sweatshirt
(x1) Hand-me-down leisure suit (it’s my dad’s da ne)
(x14) Socks
(x1) Extra shoes
(x0) Briefs

(The above example was brought to you by me: Round 3's Yanagisawa Shinya... if you couldn't tell. The parenthesis explanations behind the items are not required, but more like "I'm a dork and would write that.")

NPC Claims

The NPC Claim rules are very simple this round. You are allowed to claim three (3) NPCs at a time. You may do what you'd like with the characters. We prefer you kill them, but use them as you will. However, if you ever fail to meet a post requirement you will lose an NPC claim. If you lose all your NPC claims, you will be banned from the game. You can gain an NPC claim back with a perfect game day (meet all requirements on a game day). All NPCs should be killed prior to Day 7, preferably before Day 6 even.

To put in an NPC claim, just make a post on the pot_board and say which character you would like to claim. I'll take care of everything from there, so just play away with the character. But please announce a character before using them. Don't just assume that nobody is using them and start writing. You should also check the site and the pot_board to make sure nobody has claimed the character. When in doubt, ask a mod.

Danger Zones

Danger zones are areas on the map that are off-limits to the tennis boys and girls. The danger zones increase as the game progresses so that the boys and girls will slowly be forced closer to each other.

The number of danger zones increases every game day. The morning announcements will announce all the danger zone regions, and any boys or girls in one of these zones must get out immediately!

Following the announcements, the boys and girls will have twenty minutes to get the hell out of that danger zone! If they aren't out, BOOM! Their collar explodes, along with any and all vital organs in his or her neck. Bye bye.

If your character accidentally steps into a danger zone, the collar will start to beep. The beeping will increase in volume and rapidity like a time bomb, so when beeps become really really fast, get out fast! Otherwise, BOOM! (Note: This process usually takes about two minutes, so if your characters run like hell, they can probably make it across a danger zone in the two minutes. But don't waste time, or else!)

Post Requirements

Each game day will be two weeks long. Each game day you will be required to do at least three posts. One of those may be a journal post, but only one. You are allowed and even encouraged to do more posts than that, but this is the minimum requirement.

To keep people from doing all their posts on the last day, there is a requirement for you to do at least one of your posts each week. That means you must do one post each week, then a third post (that can be a journal) in addition to those two posts.

Proper Format

Because I love unity, here is exactly how to label your posts in a million easy steps! You don't have to follow these guidelines, but it's recommended to keep the unity. All you're required to do is keep the majority of the post and the entire results tag under a cut-tag.

Heading

The heading should include the game day in brackets. Next it must have another set of brackets that includes what characters appear in the post. After that, include the general location in terms of the map, followed by the approximate time of day. And if you followed that, then you are a genius. Here's an example of a proper heading:

[Day 4] [Shudou, Nishikiori] [G6, noonish]

If you have a lot of characters and can't fit them (or if you want to hide a mystery guest) you can add an 'et. al' on the post. Don't hide players names though. Only hide mystery NPCs. Otherwise you risk me not counting an entry and yelling at you for missing a post requirement. An example:

[Day 3] [Shudou, Atobe, Nomura, et. al] [G3, late morning]

Body

The body of a post should flow easily, and therefore nothing should get in the way (format-wise). The body should be in story format, 3rd person, etc. It may have a teaser paragraph out front, but don't spam up peoples' friends pages. Keep as much as possible under a tag.

Results Tag

I know some people go through and only read the results tags, but for those of us who enjoy reading the posts and enjoy the surprise of a death, the results tag must be covered by a cut-tag! Make a new cut-tag for the results as well though, just to make things as easy as possible for readers that may not want to read (would they be called lookers? *shrug*).

A good way to do the Results tag is by first clarifying that it is the Results, then listing the information. You should list: each character's number followed by his/her name, the character's status (which could be anything from fine to dead), and the character's location. If he/she is moving, say so. Example:

Results:
Boy #17 Ishida Tetsu - Dead. Stationary at C3.
Boy # 26 Kawamura Takashi - Broken arm. Moving from C3 to F5.
Boy #1 Akazawa Yoshirou - Dead. Stationary at C3.
Girl #2 Ryuuzaki Sakuno - Unharmed. Moving from C3 to H9.

Electronic Journals

Along with the standard equipment given to the students, each of them will also be given a specialized handheld electronic journal. This journal cannot communicate with other journals, so there is no fear that other participants will read it, but this journal is on a direct link with the BR directors. The BR directors will give important announcements over the journals such as death reports, weather reports, danger zone reports, and other such things. But a warning! With every announcement comes a live audio/visual feed, and therefore your journal is going to make noise! There is a headphones attachment, but did you remember to plug it in? Otherwise you're gonna be makin' quite a ruckus. There goes that hiding spot!

In addition, participants can write in their own electronic journals. The problem with this is that the BR directors can read everything you write in your journal! They can also respond to your journals!

But wait! During a fight, my electronic journal exploded! How will I know who is dead and what the weather is like and stuff!? Well, weather you can just hold your hand out and guess. But the rest... improvise! You're gonna need an electronic journal... but does that guy you plan to kill need his? Hmmm.

Each individual journal account is built into the system, so any account can be accessed from any journal. Also, there is no auto login, so don't go thinkin' you can steal somebody else's computer and pretend to be him.

Technical Stuff:

Journal posts of any sort are done on your character's journal (the one you have to set up for your character). However, some people like to make journals that are on paper. If they're on paper, simply put [HC] in the title of the post. That will mean that it is a hard copy and is not on any computer system.

Note: If one of the BR directors replies to your electronic journal post, you are allowed to reply and have a conversation going with them. The main rule to follow is that you can't reply to other peoples' electronic journal posts. Also, when the BR directors make a mass post, your characters can read these, but they can't comment (since other players might see, so that'd be slightly unfair and weird...).
